Image of Taskin Ahmed holding MS Dhoni's chopped-off head goes viral
A photograph showing Bangladeshi fast bowler Taskin Ahmed carrying the severed head of the Indian limited-overs captain MS Dhoni has gone viral on social media.
Reportedly posted by a Bangladeshi fan, the image has spiced up the upcoming Asia Cup T20 2016 final between India and Bangladesh to be held on March 6 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
This isn’t the first time that a Bangladeshi fan has resorted to such tactics on the social media to target the Indian Cricket Team.
It is a highly condemnable act of portraying international cricketers in such a manner on a public platform as it not only creates a facade representing the conscience of the entire Bangladeshi diaspora but also brings a bad name to an international sport of honourable repute.
The rivalry between India and Bangladesh had taken giant strides after the controversial no-ball decision that was ruled in the favour of Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma during the quarter-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
